The DBM and Black Belt System training that I have received to date are the most comprehensive training programmes that I have ever seen. The Black Belt Dance system of delivering partner dance content, leading classes and operating a dance business is incredibly logical and smart. I firmly believe that anyone who follows the system will enjoy success in their dance career or business. What an incredible experience to be trained by one of the world's most famous Salseras and a living legend of Latin dance! - J.Q.H, Australia

The Black Belt Dance Training System
is now considered one of the most "Elite" systems in the world,
for student learning and retention.
The BBS is an efficient, progressive method of learning Salsa that gives the student solid foundations in technique while teaching improvisation and styling. Students will not only become confident, but look amazing on the dance floor! The BBS system is dedicated to getting students out on the dance floor as fast as possible, even after one lesson, and to make sure that they have a BLAST!
BBS features a progressive syllabus that rewards students with physical belts, just like in Martial Arts. Classes are 90 minutes long, followed by an hour of practice time afterward ("The Hour of Power"), making Black Belt Salsa the best value for Salsa classes anywhere.
The ADVANTAGES of the Black Belt Salsa Classes:
The BBS Structured Syllabus is of WORLD CLASS STANDARDS, with over 20 years in development.
The Syllabus is PROGRESSIVE. Each student tests out before they move up to the next belt.
Classes run in a month-long block format, starting on the first week of each month.
Longer classes (90 minutes compared to 60 minutes everywhere else)
One hour of practice time after class so you can socialize, practice, and more easily retain what you have learned.
FREE FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS AT EACH CLASS
Based off of Martial Arts you receive a belt certification in the form of a wrist band based on the Belt color you are, as you progress through the system.
This is the best deal in town! You get 1 1/2 hours of lessons plus a full hour of practice each night! THAT IS 2.5 HOURS OF SOLID LEARNING!! Bring a female friend and get $10 off of your tuition!
First month begins White Belt, 1st Degree. Students may test out of lower belt levels to move on to Higher degrees.
All students must start with (or test out of...) 1st Degree White Belt training. As an advanced dancer, incorporate BBS techniques into your dancing and training. As a newcomer, learn to get out on the dance floor after the very 1st lesson!
Intermediate / Advanced Students...
If you are an Intermediate or Advanced dancer, you may possibly qualify to "Test Out" of various Lower Belt Levels, or qualify as an Apprentice. However to start the system correctly, everyone ideally should start from square one (White Belt).
Private lessons by our Apprentice Belt personnel will be available for Testing to the Upper Belt Levels.

I've been a critic of dance lessons... since I started dancing socially less than 3 years ago (so mostly I've taught myself by breaking down video of excellent dancers). Last night was an exception. Oh, I know it was a little rough around the edges because it was opening night, but the foundation and techniques are solid. - M.C. Denver, CO
What an amazing turnout! It was exciting to see such a great turnout! Wouldn't miss it!! - P.S. Denver, CO
Hey Edie, when are you coming back to England... best workshops we ever had!...- K.S, London, EnglandI used to fall apart... Can't thank you enough for the dance material. Gone are the days of memorizing moves because I fell apart on the dance floor if I did not know what was coming next. Now we play with [DTB] and the many ways of executing these. Its too much fun!.- P.D. Canada
Your work is amazing.
I joined just few of your classes in Europe, and loved it. The most, how often the people are laughing and don't recognize how much input they get... Do you have a class in Europe where I can learn how to motivate and enternain more my classes?
Some techniques ... after good work and so on? Thank you for your help
Leila, - Switzerland
She has the ability to speak to your soul. What a pleasure to watch, and to learn from. Such keen insight, presence, wit and candor. To the point. And her sense of humor? Honest and refreshing. Impeccable timing, as in her dance. The total package. And I can tell you, for sure, that I participated in the workshop because of her. Her interpretation of that music piece was an award-winning performance, worth every penny. It made my day. - C.A. Pittsburgh, PA
There are no better partners on the dance floor than those who have learned from Edie. She turns regular men into partners who pull the best from me. I can recognize them on the dance floor by their moves and the way they treat me. They are gentleman. She has made them into the strong men they always had buried inside of them the same way she turned me into the beautiful woman that was buried deep inside of me.- K.R. Denver, CO
What you do is bigger than just teaching dancing. I mean you are like a life coach to any problems! I felt like I grew just from last meeting. I admire how you think and talk. You words are so meaningful that I can just think about it for few days. All these comments might not mean much to you but I just want to let you know that I have so much respect for you. Your new fan,- M.T. Brisbane, Australia
She is simply fantastic and a psychologist on two agile feet too.
John, please tell her [Edie] how amazed I am at her completeness beyond dancing, I'm bringing my cousin with (Mika), who's in CTfor the confidence boost, Edie has the capacity to change lives beyond the dance itself. ..I must say, she is awesome...that's why I'm investing and making an effort to fly down to take a second bite at this... I really do want to get it right with a big smile.
- J.R. Johanesburg, South Africa
She was giving me a compliment that I thought I would share...
Your videos (and the bootcamp that my wife and i took a couple of years ago at the Denver Turnverien) have really help me go from beginner (never danced before) to an intermediate (twice a week for a couple hours) Salsaholic. All of rest of my time is spent reviewing my notes from previous lessons from many resources, including experimenting with the multi-styles that your dvd has presented! I simply love Salsa and have reconnected with my heritage and latin culture and love of music that i remember as a child and teen. I thank you, Edie, for facilitating that process!
Recently, after dancing with a total stranger for the first time while an excellent choice of song by your friend dj nelson was played, this gal (a very good and expressive dancer) asked me if I was taking Edie's Salsa Blackbelt Course! She went on to explain that she saw alot of Edie's teaching in my own style! She was giving me a compliment that i thought id share. Again thanks for doing what you do. E.B. Denver, CO
She helped me discover the beautiful woman that was buried deep inside of me. She pulls from men and women the best in themselves and challenges them to Bring It. Bring the sexy... bring the confidence... bring the strength... bring the dominance... bring the adoration and appreciation for your partner.... cherish your partners and make them look good. K.R. Denver, CO
What a wonderful experience your course was!
You covered a lot of what I hadn't thought of, things that if I would have known before starting out that I would have done differently. It was a great learning experience and I will definitely utilize all of the knowledge that was given for my company and encourage other instructors to take your course as well! I would definitely recommend this course to all of my fellow instructors! - J.C. Ft. Lauderdale, FL
I felt that your stories told was the most important part. They were a great help in understanding the business side as a dance instructor, as well as the experiences that went on in getting to where you have become today. Another thing that I felt was most important - BLUE TAPE! I will attend another Instructors Training, in fact, I already have a few that are wanting to go to the next Instructors Training! - A.A. Los Angeles, CA
How to start ... OUTSTANDING! PHENOMENAL! LIFE ALTERING! I'd attended two of your classes prior to this (DBM and White Belt Certification) next level of certification. I had my chair upright, seatbelt buckled and my tray table stowed in the locked and upright position and still I wasn't prepared for the level of instruction and intensity of these courses. - Art Davis, US Navy, Connecticut, and Certified BBS Red Belt Trainer
