Hey Everyone! This is an amazing opportunity for you, our local Instructors, DJs, and promoters to gain new students for your classes and events. I put "grab bags" for all the students at all my events for them to take home. In the past 20 years, I have found that dance students will gravitate to instructors they "vibe" with - so you never need to worry about others stealing your students. Remember, I believe in working as a team with local instructors and promoters of every city I visit to bring new students to THEM using my weekend Bootcamps and workshops as a lure to "get newbies there" with all their friends. The more the better. Once they get a taste of how many "other" people are trying this as well, they have more fun, tend to "stick" to the scene, and look for more classes to take. I do my very best to get "new beginners" into the Salsa scene by using different and unusual methods of advertising, then leave it up TO YOU, the local instructors, to further their education when the Bootcamp intro weekend is over. That is why "The more the merrier" is a very wise and true statement. Remember, This way, we can all work "together" to can create a powerfully huge Salsa scene here by continuously helping each other out. Obviously they will need YOU to help them along their way when the weekend is complete. So please come for a few minutes and introduce yourselves. Please arrive anytime during the class. I will give you the microphone for a few minutes to announce who you are, and where you teach. My sincerest wish is that you simply attend for a few minutes and introduce yourself to the new students.
